TRACY BOYD: DISTRACTIONS
Thursday, SEPTEMBER 14, 2017 6-9pm

Tracy Boyd: “This series delves into what I believe is going on in the world at this particular moment in time: distractions. We are bombarded with information meant to often keep us from really seeing or understanding what is truly happening. In similar fashion, I use conflicting imagery; cars, buildings and animals in motion with graphical elements and colors. As you continue to view, new meaning strikes you. Action leaps off the canvas in an engaging way, impressing a unique distraction onto each viewer. 10 paintings ranging from 18 inches to 6 feet will be shown.”

Tracy is a large scale expressive figurative painter. Her original and fearless style of painting can be attributed to her story of independence, determination, taking risks and a desire to learn through life experiences. Her high work ethic and self-sufficiency have continued to be a motivator, driving her to reach goals, challenge thought and emotion, and break new ground.
