©ANN DUFFY, 18×14”, “The Tracks”, Oil on canvas.

Light is what inspires me, finding beauty in the mundane.  I paint in the realist tradition; cityscapes of Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.  I like capturing the dissonance of different eras colliding in the changing urban landscape. My work has been shown at the Davidson Gallery in Seattle, the SAM rental Gallery, SF Moma rental Gallery, George Billis Gallery in L.A., the i.e. Gallery in Edison, WA and on the covers of the Daniel Smith Art Catalog and the cover of Seattle Best Places.” — Ann Duffy
