STRVCTVRE is a monthly night of electronic music focused on rhythm-centric, bass-heavy club tracks at Vermillion Art Gallery & Bar in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Though relatively new it has already enjoyed the company of the likes of Decibel’s Jimi Jaxon, Bellingham’s top club fixtureMax Taylor, up-and-coming/Rinse FM featured Korma ( Tommy Mertens) and includes the prolific Soffos amongst its residents. Organized and put on by Tremel ( Kyle Young) the focus tends towards (but isn’t limited to) vinyl releases from some of today’s most cutting edge labels including Night Slugs, Hessle Audio, Clek Clek Boom, Livity Sound, Hyperdub, R & S as well as the club-focused traditions such collectives are informed by. Aiming to strike a balance between artfully crafted sounds and danceable rhythms the emphasis is always on the music above and beyond all.
