The Digital Final Frontier: A Light Art Show by Totally Legit, LLC. Opening Thursday, December 13, 5-9pm.

| December 9, 2018

Every year around this time we like to present a show that involves light and technology as a way to brighten up the cold, dark Seattle winter. This is the third installation by our friends at Totally Legit, LLC., founded by Shelly Farnham, Greg Larson, and Jeff Larson, and it spans December and January of 2019.  Show runs through 2/9/19.

This collaborative light art installation celebrates the pioneering spirit of those who push the bounds of possibility. We explore recurring themes of human progress on the frontiers of innovation, layering together past and future technologies.

Brought to you by Totally Legit, and Other Participating Artists and Technology Creatives.

This show emerged from Electric Sky 2018, an art and tech weekend artists’ retreat. Electric Sky and our 2018 theme “The Digital Frontier” was brought to you by Totally Legit LLC, and Third Place Technologies, with the support of 4Culture and the Town of Skykomish.

About Totally Legit:

Totally Legit is a creative collaboration group with the mission to have fun innovating with art and technology projects, and share our work through creative exhibitions and events.

We are an interdisciplinary group of artists, technologists, designers, makers, engineers, and builders who share a passion for art, technology, and cultureWe have created everything from interactive sound and lighting experiences to giant murals, often incorporating futuristic themes.  We seek to challenge traditional artistic boundaries by treating everything as a creative medium — including lasers, LEDs, painting, Arduinos, culture hacking, totally controlled lighting, pinball machines, events, community organizing, and so forth.

Be sure to check out our recent and upcoming events, including our art and tech retreat Electric Sky, or our portfolio of projects.

To foster collaboration among our crew, we converted our home (the GHOOB) into a live/work art space, including the Kilin Club for kiln work, and have developed an artists’ retreat in Skykomish called the Skywalker Cabin.
