Blitz Capitol Hill Arts Walk is a community event put on each 2nd Thursday of the month by the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce (CHCC). Participating as a host venue is FREE for all CHCC members, but we welcome everyone on the Hill to become involved. There is a nominal fee for non-Chamber members to participate, which helps covers event promotional printing and other costs. Host venues maintain full control and responsibility for their artist and event arrangements. Please contact us CapitolHillArtsWalk@gmail.com for more information on becoming a Blitz venue.
Non-Chamber members must pay their fees by the 1st Monday of each month to be listed on the Blitz website and the printed map as a participating venue. You may pay those fees HERE. Studios and artists may be approved for reduced fees. Contact the above email for information on getting approved for this reduced fee.
Artists, musicians, buskers and other performing arts participate in Blitz through independent arrangements. Blitz organizers do not manage or arrange arts walk programming. Rather, hosting venues make arrangements directly with the artist or performer.
If you are interested in getting booked into a Blitz Arts Walk venue, we recommend you review the venue list, visit some venues which may be a good fit for your style, and inquire.
Blitz is run entirely by volunteers. Local business owners, artists and residents have joined together to put on this community wide monthly event on Capitol Hill. Outdoors or in, social or behind the scenes, talker or writer – – we have all sorts or ways you can help in as few as three hours a month. If you would like to join up and be a part of this amazing team please contact us (CapitolHillArtsWalk@gmail.com ). More volunteers are always welcome!
